Broadus Mitchell was an educator, historian, and biographer of Alexander Hamilton. Mitchell taught economics at Hopkins, 1919-1939, and was active in political affairs and issues of social justice in Baltimore. Edna St. Vincent Millay (February 22, 1892 - October 19, 1950) was an American lyrical poet and playwright and the first woman to receive the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry. Eisenhower and recieved by his personal friends, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Slater, from November 1948 until March 1969. Letters and other materials from Mamie Eisenhower to the Slaters number 114 items and date from October 1950 to November 1979.
